Sick days are wonderful things! You get to take a day off from work, school, life. Great, right? Well yea, unless you actually are sick, and then it's no fun!
Today I woke up with a horrible headache, a bad cough, and an achy body. I've been vegging out all day and trying to sleep, but unfortunately the hacking cough has kept me awake. I also really need to be doing homework but I have no motivation to. My reasoning for not doing my homework is that I'm sick, but that still doesn't change the fact that it's due on Tuesday and I should at least start it today so I don't have to do all of it tomorrow.
But I probably won't start my homework today. Unless I can't sleep again tonight, then I'll do it. Last night I couldn't sleep because I kept waking up coughing, but hopefully tonight I'll be able to sleep. I got some cough medicine for the night so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good night sleep.
Anyway that's basically all I have to write. My chest hurts and I need to go blow my nose so that's where I'm headed.

How to Seduce Men (Awkward Edition)
Throughout rehearsals for The Smoke Scenes I have learned that I am not very good at being seductive. Then we changed our concept for the show and I learned that I am extremely good at being awkward, so we ended up combining these two things and we came up with Awkward Seduction.
Step 1: Sit so close to him that every part of your sides are touching.
Step 2: Stare at the side of his face very intently until he looks at you then quickly turn your head away. Repeat this step several times.
Step 3: Lean your head like you are about to lean on his shoulder but let your head hover over his shoulder instead.
Step 4: After your neck begins to seize up from holding it in that odd position for so long finally let it rest on his shoulder.
Step 5: Slowly inch your hand from your knee over to his knee.
Step 6: When he shifts his leg away from your hand and his shoulder away from your head cough really quick and put your arm around his shoulder.
Step 7: Grab his pectoral muscle while your arm is around his neck.
Step 8: When he moves your arm from his shoulders point to the other side of him and ask "Hey, what's that?" while you jump onto him in a straddle position.
Step 9: No matter what happens after that just pretend that absolutely nothing has ever happened between the two of you.
And that is how you awkwardly seduce a man.

Extraterrestrial Culture Day
I've never been a huge fan of Valentines day, probably because I grew up in a wonderful family that always expressed their love, so a day devoted to expressing love wasn't such a big deal. Which some people would say is sad, but in my opinion is good! I think it's crap when people don't express their love except for on one specific day of the year. I love my family and friends and I like to express it regularly!
So instead of celebrating Valentines day me and my friends celebrated Extraterrestrial Culture Day. A while back me and McKenna found this website that listed a ton of random holiday's that people have made up over the years, so we made a Calendar listing all these holiday's so we could celebrate them as well. And yesterday just so happened to be Extraterrestrial Culture Day.
(Some other awesome holiday's include: Appreciate a Dragon Day on January 16th, Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day on January 30th, Cow Milking While Flying In An Airplane day on February 18th, Witch Hysteria Day on March 1st, World Plumbing Day on March 11th, Tater Tot Day on April 2nd, National Hairball Awareness Day on April 27th, National Two Different Colored Shoes Day on May 3rd, VCR Day on June 7th, Barbie-in-a-Blender Day and Take Your Houseplant for a Walk Day which both fall on July 27th, Sneak some Zucchini onto your Neighbors Porch Day on August 8th, Video Games Day on September 12th, Hug a Vegetarian Day on September 28th, International Stuttering Awareness Day on October 22nd, Haunted Refrigerator Night on October 30th, World Orphans Day on November 12th, World Day of Remembrance for Road Kill Victims on November 20th, International Ninja Day on December 5th, and Bacon Day on December 30th.)
So to celebrate this wonderful holiday we wore tinfoil hats, played Just Dance III on the wii, and watched Signs. I even wore my tinfoil hat to my One Act rehearsal! I'm pretty sure my partner Nate Allred thinks I'm completely crazy because of it too. But my director Carly Skanky thought it was awesome. We're doing a One Act called The Smoke Scenes by Nick Zagone. It's a really funny show and I'm way excited to perform it! We only have about a week left till we open.
Even though I didn't celebrate Valentines day I still got an awesome spread! I ended up getting a package from a friend back home that had three boxes of chocolates in it, some shortbread cookies, and a really cute stuffed doll (his name is Michael Spawton but we just call him Spotty.) I also got a giant sugar cookie from Ethan along with some smarties from Maddie Hayes and a Hershey's chocolate kiss from the RHA committee for On Campus Housing. So I had a pretty good Extraterrestrial Culture Day!

Viva Las Vegas
This past weekend me and a group of my friends took a Las Vegas trip. It was a blast! Danielle and Ethan hadn't ever walked the strip before so we decided we should all go and do it together. So Friday night at about 8:30 we left Cedar City and headed for Las Vegas. We stopped in St. George to get some food at In N' Out, and then continued on our trip. I had McKenna, Ethan, and Danielle in my car and Kadi and Julie rode in Kacie's car.
When we got to Vegas we were driving down the strip and we saw a guy on the side of the road holding his pants up. It was hilarious how low his pants were! You could see the end of his boxers and some leg before his pants even started. The man was obviously drunk and confused because he just kept standing there waving at random cars before he finally sat down and just held up his fingers in a weird sign. We couldn't stop laughing and Danielle even started saying he was holding up a gang sign. We later took a picture using the hand sign!
McKenna and Danielle wanted to model their new found gang sign and these doors were perfect to do it in front of.
It was a great night! We walked down the strip and through a lot of different hotels and casino's before we all got really tired and decided we should head back. At one point there was a guy who attempted to hit on me, and when I turned around he just said never mind and mumbled something to his friend about being 16. So apparently I look like a 16 year old instead of my actual age. I guess 3 year isn't that big of a difference, plus if I look young now then when I get older then hopefully I stay young looking, right?
The best part was when I finally did something I had wanted to do since Mitch and Davis told me about it. They informed me that if you lay on both sides of the moving walkway handrails that you spin around in a circle. So when we found moving walkways I tried it and this is what happened:
It was so awesome! I was laughing so hard that I couldn't even get off!
It was a really great trip! We ended up staying at Kacie's Grandma's house in St. George instead of driving all the way back home. In the morning (and when I say morning I mean around Noon since we didn't even go to sleep till about 6:30 in the morning) she made us sourdough waffles with homemade buttermilk syrup. It was delicious! I've been craving those waffles ever since!
My friends are great and I'm so glad we took this trip!
